Erin M. Maroon (Executive Director) is a co-founder of Ashlie’s Embrace. She and her husband, Anthony, founded the organization after the sudden, full-term loss of their first child, Ashlie. Erin is an Independent Sales Director with Mary Kay Cosmetics and holds an MBA in Marketing from Walsh University. She and Anthony will welcome Ashlie’s baby brother in May.
Anthony J. Maroon (Board President) is a co-founder of Ashlie’s Embrace. He and Erin have been married since 2010. He has 26 years of experience as a law enforcement officer and is an Ohio-state certified police instructor. He is currently employed as a Fraud Investigator for a major insurance company and is founder and owner of Sound Waves Entertainment, LLC. He is the former lead singer for The Legends Band.
Mandi R. Modrick (Secretary) is currently finishing her bachelor’s degree in Biology at Kent State University at Stark, and is employed at Target and Amazon. She has served on the Board for the Ohio Veterans’ Memorial Park in Clinton, Ohio.
Edward M. Levy (Acting Treasurer) is a retired Certified Public Accountant with more than 40 years of professional accounting, management and tax experience. He is a magna cum laude graduate of the City University of New York and is a member of several NFP boards. His two grown sons are both professional musicians.
Angela M. Dickerson (Marketing) is the former CEO of A Christmas Story House & Museum in Cleveland, OH, with over a decade of executive leadership experience across multiple industries, including non-profit. In 2015, she was presented with a “Resolution of Recognition” from the City of Cleveland City Council for her philanthropic and fundraising efforts that raised over a quarter million dollars and helped rebuild and restore Tremont, Cleveland’s oldest neighborhood. Angela is a proud mother of four daughters, and resides in Berea, OH.
Bonnie L. Shenise is a retired police officer. She graduated from the University of Akron with an associate’s degree in Criminal Justice. She and her husband Larry, also a member of the board, have been married 25 years and have one grown son.
Larry D. Shenise is a U.S. Army veteran and former police officer. He has been an attorney in private practice for 20 years. He obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Akron in Criminal Justice/Political Science and a Juris Doctor degree from Cleveland Marshall College of Law.
